Leadership today is no longer just about power or managing business processes, but a real human challenge, involving vision, adaptability and the ability to inspire.
This was the main theme of the "Leader by Example" event organized by il Sole 24 Ore in Milan on March 27 at the Lombardy leg of its roadshow.
Geopolitical uncertainty, generational evolution, sustainability, inclusiveness, and the impact of technology are just some of the dimensions shaping leadership today. Among these themes, two key concepts emerged with particular relevance:
One of the most powerful ideas that emerged was that of resonant leadership, which reactivates concepts such as emotional and collective intelligence, but with a new nuance. A resonant leader is someone who goes beyond situational management, who does not just react to circumstances, but who stimulates positive, shared energies within the team. This type of leadership is measured not only by results, but by the impact it generates over the long term, creating a culture of accountability and cohesion.
Resonance is the ability of a leader to respond to external stimuli in a way that generates an internal echo in the people around him or her. It is not just a matter of charisma or effective communication, but of authentic connection. It is the leader resonating with the context, the emotions of his or her team, and the needs of the organization, creating a virtuous circle of shared awareness and growth.
Another interesting concept presented was the Dream Gap. The idea is simple and powerful: the gap between what we dream of doing and what we believe is actually possible depends on the examples we see around us. If we do not have role models who embody our dream, our confidence in being able to achieve it is drastically reduced.
This aspect has a concrete impact on leadership: the representation of women, young people, and diverse talent in decision-making roles is not only a matter of equity, but a concrete possibility to inspire future generations. Without visible and credible role models, the potential of so many individuals risks going untapped.
Leadership is a path of continuous growth. At Perspective Developing People, we believe that meeting the challenges of the future requires the development of soft management skills, with a focus on:
In our team, we orient companies to create work and socialization environments where talent can fully express itself, developing pathways with a psychologically safe climate in which leaders can grow with authenticity and responsibility.
Strengthening the self-awareness and self-leadership of professionals is key to business success: the value of people (and leadership) lies not only in strategies, but in the energy with which it is conveyed that comes through the meaning of one's work and the meaning we give to our lives. When a leader is resonant, he generates impact. When a leader is an example, he inspires.
With this attitude, thanks to our tailor-made approach, we create tailor-made training paths, interpreting from different perspectives the specific needs of each reality we encounter.
The future of organizations passes through its leaders: resonant, concrete and visionary models to be inspired by.
