The future of education is being built today by listening, exploring and confronting.
It was in this spirit that on April 3 and 4 we participated in theInnovation Training Summit in Rome, Italy's largest event dedicated to the world of training, organized by Ecosistema Formazione Italia.
Two intense days at the Technical Auditorium, including talks, panels and networking, where we gathered ideas, stimuli and new perspectives to rethink our daily work and contribute even more effectively to the growth of people and organizations.
One of the central themes that emerged was the impact of artificial intelligence on the world of learning. No longer (just) tools, but real skills to be developed. The key role of microlearning was discussed, particularly in the Italian context, to accompany people to achieve their goals through the conscious use of AI.
In this scenario, the task of trainers changes: it is not just to transfer content, but to guide adaptation to new technologies, developing critical thinking, awareness and autonomy. The biggest challenge in the company? It is really about leadership: leaders must be the first to understand the potential of AI, otherwise they risk becoming the first barrier to change.
Another aspect that emerged is the gender gap in the use of AI: today, men on average feel more confident in approaching these technologies. This is an important signal that invites us to reflect on how to make education more equitable and accessible, to leave no one behind and to enhance the potential of everyone.
AI in L&D: efficiency, innovation, reinvention
Artificial intelligence can be an extraordinary lever for the L&D world, but only if it is used with strategic vision: not only to increase efficiency, but to reinvent models, content, and training modalities. The challenge is not so much technological as cultural: a new mindset is needed to design experiences that are engaging, accessible, and capable of generating real change.
Among the most inspiring speeches, we were particularly struck by the invitation to bring personal emotions and experiences into the classroom. The goal? To stimulate authentic connection, because only what excites leaves a trace in people's memories and growth. A vision that resonates deeply with our approach.
Keywords we take home
These insights enter into our ongoing research and development work, guiding the way we design pathways that put people at the center of the educational experience, to make it truly transformative.
Thank you to those who shared ideas, perspectives and visions. We returned with a suitcase full of inspiration.
